CALATI 300PCT — Protected Analog Thickness Gauge for Limed Hides, Wet Areas and Chemical Environments
The CALATI PCT is a protected analog thickness gauge designed to measure the thickness of limed hides, wet hides, wet materials, dirty materials and leather processing materials exposed to chemical residues. Thanks to the protected dial and the rubber bellows on the stem, it is ideal for wet departments, limed-hide splitting machines and difficult tannery working conditions.

Thickness gauge for limed hides and difficult tannery conditions
During wet tannery operations, such as splitting limed hides, measuring instruments are exposed to water, grease, residues, humidity and process contamination. A standard thickness gauge can be damaged quickly or lose reliability.
The CALATI PCT is designed specifically for these working conditions: it keeps the simplicity and precision of the CALATI analog thickness gauge, adding a specific protection for the dial and the stem.
It is a practical instrument for tanneries, quality control departments and operators who need to measure leather thickness in wet, dirty or chemically aggressive environments.
CALATI PCT — analog thickness gauge with protection for wet tannery areas
Special protection for dial and stem
The PCT model is designed to protect the most delicate parts of the instrument during use in wet areas.
Protected dial
The upper cap helps protect the dial from splashes, dirt, grease and leather processing residues.
Rubber bellows
The rubber bellows protects the stem and helps reduce dirt and humidity entering moving parts.
Stainless steel contacts
Stainless steel contacts are suitable for wet working conditions and measurement on wet hides.
Robust construction
Painted cast aluminium body, strong and suitable for daily use in tanneries.
Immediate analog reading
Simple dial reading, without batteries, ideal for use directly near the machine.
Made in Italy
CALATI instrument manufactured and supported in Italy, distributed by Danese Srl.

Available models: 200PCT, 300PCT and 450PCT
Three useful depths for different measurement needs in tannery production.
200PCT
Useful depth 200 mm
Practical version for quick checks, samples and measurements with limited depth.
300PCT
Useful depth 300 mm
Balanced version for many tannery applications and quality control on limed hides.
450PCT
Useful depth 450 mm
Deeper version for reaching more internal points on wide hides or large materials.
Main applications of CALATI PCT
The instrument is suitable where humidity, dirt and residues can damage a standard thickness gauge.
Limed hides
Thickness measurement of limed hides during wet operations and intermediate checks.
Splitting machines
Thickness control near the machine, where the material is wet and the environment is dirty.
Wet areas
Use in departments where water, grease, residues and humidity can affect non-protected instruments.
Contaminated materials
Controls on dirty, humid or process-contaminated materials.
Tannery quality control
Fast and repeatable thickness control during leather production.
Chemical and wet departments
More protected than standard models in areas with humidity and leather processing agents.
Standard equipment
PCT thickness gauge
Complete instrument in the selected model: 200PCT, 300PCT or 450PCT.
Protective box
Supplied in a shockproof protective box for safe storage and transport.
CALATI certificate
Supplied with CALATI conformity certificate.
Maintenance and care
Even if the CALATI PCT is designed for difficult environments, it must be cleaned regularly after use. Remove residues, humidity and dirt with a soft cloth, without aggressive chemicals.
Do not use direct compressed air on protected parts and do not use non-recommended lubricants. After use, always store the instrument in the supplied protective box.
To maintain long-term reliability, periodically check the condition of the contacts, rubber bellows and dial protection.
